Calgary's new plant-based restaurant officially opens this week (PHOTOS)
Calgary’s new plant-based restaurant, The Allium, officially opens this week.
The new 211a 12 Avenue SW is located in YYC’s Beltline neighbourhood, and will officially welcome patrons into its space August 15.

The Allium is a worker cooperative, and promises an “exceptional and unique dining experience within a hip and comfortable atmosphere.”
Boasting an elevated seasonal menu of dishes made with local, sustainable, and plant-based organic ingredients, folks can find an array of small and large plates, and a great selection of cocktails too.

There’s more to this spot than just the food though, The Allium aims to provide folks with “empowering work and actively address issues of social inequality” through collective ownership.
