Beloved Thai restaurant to open a new Calgary location next week
Earlier this year, one of Calgary’s most beloved Thai restaurants revealed it would be opening its second location in the city. Now, we finally have word of the opening date, and it’s so soon.
Thai Siam, the immensely popular spot known for its drool-worthy Thai food, is set to open its brand-new outpost, located near CF Chinook Centre, on June 19.
The expansion is welcome news, as since opening in 2022, Thai Siam said it was regularly having to decline reservation requests and turn away walk-in diners at its location at Starr Distilling, due to enormous demand from Calgarians.

“From day one, Thai Siam has been more than just a restaurant. It has been a community,” said owners Tiago and Sawanya Sousa.
“This next chapter exists for one simple reason, our customers.”
If you’ve yet to visit Thai Siam, the spot offers a wide range of dishes which take inspiration from Northern Thailand. Some of the must-tries include its Pad Thai and its Thai-style chicken skewers, served with a rich and flavourful peanut sauce.
Alongside the new outpost, Calgarians are also able to visit Thai Siam at Starr Distilling, located at 4127 6th St. NE.
