Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir have had a profound effect on people not only in Canada, but around the world.

The Canadian Olympic ice dancing champions stole the hearts of everyone last February in PyeongChang, receiving worldwide acclaim for their amazing chemistry on the ice.

The final day of their cross-Canada tour with Stars on Ice was in Vancouver on Thursday, which happened to be Tessa’s birthday. The three-time Olympic gold medallist, who is nearly two years younger than her ice dancing partner Scott, turned 29.

One super-fan decided to make the day extra special for Tessa, by compiling a video filled with well-wishes from around the world. Over 100 women from over 20 countries participated, showing love and appreciation for the Canadian icon.

“From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for your kindness, your determination, your passion, your beauty, your strength, your love,” YouTube uploader heidim wrote. “We will never forget the ways in which you have changed our lives for the better.”

The video is over 13 minutes long, and includes messages from women in Brazil, the Philippines, Ukraine, Australia, Germany, Peru, and many more countries.

“I hope that your day is bright and full of joy. I know this video is long, but I couldn’t possibly cut out any of these heartfelt messages.”

Tessa saw the video, and to say that she was touched would be an understatement. She called it “the most powerful and impactful video/gift of all time.”
