If you’re interested in launching a tech startup but aren’t quite sure where to begin, this one’s for you.

Platform Calgary, Startup Calgary, and Startup Edmonton have teamed up to bring an online event to Albertans that will give attendees the skills they need to bring their startup idea to life over the course of a weekend.

Techstars Startup Weekend begins on the evening of Friday, March 26, with participants either pitching an idea or joining one of the teams that have the top ideas.

Over the course of the weekend, teams will work together and with coaches to validate and develop a prototype.

The event wraps up on Sunday with afternoon demos and presentations of the prototypes and tech concepts. Teams will finish off the weekend by pitching their ideas to a panel of judges before fun startup awards are handed out.

Techstars Startup Weekend is a chance to learn how to launch a business, build and test your own strategies, and try to solve local problems with your tech ideas.

The event also offers networking opportunities, mentorship, and sessions designed to teach new skills. Attendees will be given instant access to useful products and tools – no one leaves a Startup Weekend empty handed.

Join Platform Calgary, Startup Calgary, and Startup Edmonton for this virtual, hands-on educational experience. Techstars Startup Weekend enables attendees to build, validate, and launch their tech startup idea over the course of just a few days.

Whether you’re a developer, a business or sales professional, or a designer, there is something for you at this event, and while it’s geared towards Albertans, everyone is welcome to participate in the Startup Weekend virtually from wherever they are.
