17 ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day 2021 in Calgary

St. Patrick’s Day may look a little different in 2021, but there are still tons of things to do in Calgary to help bring the luck of the Irish your way.

The annual celebration falls mid-week this year, but you can bet that YYC will still be donning shamrock-coloured clothing and looking for leprechauns.

Whether you want to enjoy a pint at your local pub, try some trivia, or go green for our planet, there’s sure to be a way for you to toast the patron saint of Ireland on March 17.

Here are some Emerald Isle-inspired ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this year.

St. Patrick’s Day Beer Dinner with Field & Forge Brewing

What: Enjoy a three-course Irish-themed dinner with beer pairings from Field & Forge Brewing Co. Dinners will be served on interior balconies that overlook the Delta Calgary South hotel atrium, where there will be live entertainment. Tickets include an overnight stay, and a shot of Irish Whiskey tops off the night.

St. Paddy’s Day Pup Crawl

What: Dress your pets and yourself in green and meet at the Legacy Vet Clinic for a St. Patrick’s Day walk around the neighbourhood. The clinic will also have photo booth set up for some fun pictures, and “Snout Beer” and goodies will be given out to all pets to celebrate the day.

St. Paddy’s 2021 at Jamesons Pub

What: In honour of St. Patrick, both Jamesons Pub locations are offering a $10 Irish breakfast from 10 to 11:30 am and pints of Alexander Keith’s for $5.99 and Guinness for $6.99 all day long. While we can’t dance this year, there will be a DJ to drink along to starting at 2 pm.

Try The Station’s Irish Stew

What: Enjoy a hearty bowl of Irish Stew, along with all-day drink specials at The Station in Southeast Calgary, including $6.50 Dublin Drops (that’s half a pint of Guinness with a once-ounce shot – made up of Bailey’s Irish Cream and Jameson Irish Whiskey – to drop in the glass).

Calgary Zoo’s Pub Quiz Night: St. Paddy’s Day
