Rooftop patio candlelight concert planned for Calgary this summer

As recommended by health officials, if you choose to participate in events outside of your home, please adhere to COVID-19 health and safety measures, including proper physical distancing, mask-wearing, and frequent handwashing. If you are sick, please stay home.

A whole new kind of concert experience is coming to the city this summer (and no, it’s not virtual).

Event organizer Fever is bringing a candlelight concert to the rooftop patio of the Calgary Marriott Downtown hotel on select dates in June and July.

The concert features a classical music string quartet playing beloved songs from movie soundtracks, and the open-air experience will be lit by dozens of flameless candles.

The Listeso String Quartet will be performing favourites such as “The Bare Necessities” (The Jungle Book), “Let It Go” (Frozen), “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” (The Lion King), “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” (Toy Story), and “A Whole New World” (Aladdin).

There are two 65-minute shows per night, with doors opening 30 minutes prior to the concert, so you have lots of time to grab a pre-show drink from the bar.

Seating is offered in two tiers: Zone A tickets feature premium visibility, while Zone B seats still provide good views of the show at a lower price.
