Those who tuned into the Calgary Flames game last night may have noticed a famous Canadian singer in the audience.
The crowd was rocking at the Saddledome on Wednesday night, in part due to the fact that they were playing the Montreal Canadiens, a game that always brings out plenty of Habs fans.
While there was indeed plenty of cheers for the Habs throughout the night, there were also plenty because Shania Twain was in the building.

Rocking a Calgary Stampeders jersey, Twain watched closely as the Flames were able to send last night’s game to overtime versus the Canadiens. It wasn’t enough, however, as Mike Matheson wound up winning the game on a great feed from Ivan Demidov in the extra frame.

It was yet another game in which the Flames struggled to find the back of the net. They are currently on a seven-game losing streak, during which time they’ve been able to muster up just nine goals.
One Flames player who showed up to play in last night’s game was Dustin Wolf. The 24-year-old stopped 26 of the 28 shots he faced, several of which were highlight-reel worthy.

The performance from Wolf would have certainly caught the eye of Twain, as the two had a fun little interaction over social media during the Calgary Stampede this past summer.

Though Twain wasn’t able to help spark the Flames to a victory, they were able to pick up a single point after entering last night’s game having lost six straight in regulation.
It’s been a rough start to the season for the Flames, who, after Wednesday’s overtime loss, are now 1-6-1 on the year. They will look to get back into the win column on Friday night, where they will be taking on the Winnipeg Jets at the Canada Life Centre.
