Calgary Flames fans went wild at the Saddledome after watching Toronto Blue Jays win

The Calgary Flames weren’t able to pick up a win on Monday night, but their fanbase still had plenty to cheer for.

As the Flames were in action versus the Winnipeg Jets, the Toronto Blue Jays were fighting to win the AL Pennant versus the Seattle Mariners.

Everybody in the Saddledome was dialled in on the action, with updates from the game being shown during stoppages on the Jumbotron. That included showing George Springer’s three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh, which resulted in a roaring ovation from Flames fans.

Springer’s home run wound up being enough, as the Blue Jays were able to keep the Mariners off the board in the final two innings thanks to some outstanding pitching from Chris Bassitt and Jeff Hoffman.

After learning that the Jays were headed to their first World Series since 1993, the Flames faithful celebrated once again.

Unfortunately for Flames fans, that was the final time for celebrating on Monday. Despite having a 1-0 lead when the Blue Jays won, they went on to give up two goals in the third period to fall by a 2-1 final.

The Flames have now lost six in a row and are 1-6-0 to begin the 2025-26 season. It’s been a very disappointing start, as they are really struggling to find the back of the net. Through their first seven games, they’ve managed just 11 goals.

Though we are still very early into the 2025-26 season, the Flames are going to need to turn things around quickly in order to try and be in the running for a playoff spot. Their next opportunity to get back on track will come on Wednesday night, as they are set to welcome the 5-2-0 Montreal Canadiens to town.
