Screamfest will be at the Stampede grounds for two weekends in October

Screamfest, one of Canada’s largest and scariest Halloween events, is back in Calgary this October.

Even COVID-19 isn’t scary enough to stop the popular event, which has enacted public health measures to ensure that the only thing attendees will need to be frightened about is the ghosts and ghouls within their haunted houses.

Ticket-holders will enjoy six different haunted houses, with everything from clowns to zombies to Grim Reapers attempting to scare them silly as they make their way through the outdoor mazes.

Here’s the full list of haunts:

  • Clown Town
  • Reapers and Grimm
  • Bates Motel
  • What Lurks in the Dark
  • Walking with the Dead
  • What Lies Beneath

Full descriptions of each house can be found at Screamfest’s website.

Tickets are still available to this notoriously sold-out event, though how long they’ll last is anyone’s guess.

Those hoping to attend will have the choice of either the General Admission ticket for $25, the Killer Cash Combo for $35 (which includes $16 in Killer Cash which can be used onsite for games and entertainment), or $45 for the Speedpass, which allows for VIP Front of Line service, $16 in killer cash, and two additional haunted house entrances.

All passes come with admission to all six haunted houses and admission to the Nightmare Market.

The event will run from October 22 to 25 and October 29 to 31.
