Hotel Arts’ popular outdoor pool has closed due to the changing season, but only temporarily.
The YYC hotspot has always been a go-to destination for anyone hoping to cool off in the water while sipping some cold drinks, and renovations made last year have not only glammed up the place but have also made it so that the pool can be enjoyed all year round.

Hotel Arts as installed an inflatable, illuminated canvas from Calgary’s Dynamic Air Shelters to keep Poolside nice and cosy throughout a cold Calgary winter.
The hotel announced on September 27 that the pool would be closing for winterization but that it would be reopened under its canvas covering as soon as October 8.
The installation took six months to complete and is expected to offer solace from Calgary’s biting cold for many years to come.
“Itâs the perfect oasis even in the depths of winterâs icy chill with 24C degrees and a touch of humidity,” the Hotel Arts website states.
“Once we put on our ‘toque’ for winter, weâll be ready for licensed poolside dining and refreshing dips again to keep the summer vibe going year-round.”
The pool is open for swimming as early as 7 am each day for hotel guests and for dining at 11 am.
Non-guests of the hotel are welcome for poolside dining starting at 11 am, though there is a $20 Pool Usage Fee.
Hotel guests will have a three hour time limit applied on peak days and during peak times, while non-hotel guests have a similar two-hour time limit.
