With the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics drawing to a close, there’s been one thing and one thing only on a lot of people’s minds.
Are Canadian gold medal sweethearts Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir dating.
No. Seriously. People need to know.
Since the pair first performed their routine in Pyeongchang to a cover of “Roxanne” from Moulin Rouge, spectators and romantics from around the world were determined the two had more than just a platonic relationship.
After all, their performance definitely wasn’t G-rated.

Over the course of the Olympics fans have fallen in love with the pair’s chemistry both on and off the ice, but those same fans are now left wondering, are they or aren’t they dating?
During a press conference in Pyeongchang this week, media asked the pair what we’ve all been collectively wondering, and Moir gave a ho-hum response to what’s going on between the duo.
He started off by saying, “Relationship status is none of your business,” somewhat jokingly, to the press before following up with:
“But I can say that the last two years we’ve been in a very committed relationship with our sport. And we’re the type of athletes that dive head first into the whole process, and I just honestly don’t know where you would find time for that.”
He then went on to discuss the pair’s potential future retirement, all while Tessa smiled coyly beside him.
He continued with, “Part of the reason maybe why we wouldn’t continue was to open up that side of our life maybe and see where that goes. And that’s as personal as I’ll get, but let’s see what happens.”
As for what’s in the cards next for the pair, Moir’s vague answer could subtly be hinting that the duo is more than just professional partners and that there’s something else going on between them.
Basically, Scott and Tessa are in love and we can all die happy.
