Sarah McLachlan will be performing O Canada in Oakland ahead of Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Thursday evening.

According to the NBA, the Canadian singer/songwriter will perform Canada’s anthem, while San Fransisco-based rock band Train will perform the US one.

Prior to Game 5 in Toronto on Monday, instead of picking a celebrity singer for the job, the Raptors chose to leave it up to their fans to sing the national anthem.

At the time, inside Scotiabank Arena, Raptors fans sang loud and proud.

While outside, thousands more also joined in singing the anthem, which echoed throughout the city’s downtown core.

So there’s a good chance McLachlan will have her fair share of back up singers prior to tonight’s game. Whether in Oakland, or at the many Jurassic Parks across Canada.

“Holy $h%!” McLachlan said in an Instagram post. “Iā€™m singing the Canadian Anthem tomorrow night for Game 6 of the NBA finals!”
