If you’re bummed about summer coming to an end – no worries – you’ve got some delicious things to look forward to, Calgary.

1. Dark Table

This dining in the dark concept already has a location in Vancouver’s Kitsalano neighbourhood, and now the eatery is heading east. Slated to open fall 2017, we can’t wait to get our eat and drink on in the pitch black atmosphere.

2. Two Penny Chinese and The Tea House

Get ready for a dose of delicious dumplings, roasted meats, crafted cocktails, and beer with options to eat-in, take-out, and stay late. This modern Chinese restaurant will also have a 50-seat dim sum bar (AKA ‘The Teahouse’) in its basement. Right next to vegetarian hot spot Ten Foot Henry, Two Penny is sure to reinforce 1 Street’s reputation as a burgeoning foodie heaven.

3. Bar Annabelle

Soon there’s going to be a new tapas bar in town pouring wine, specialty whiskey, scotch, and gin. With Calgary’s lounge culture on the rise, this 22-seat stylish spot designed by McKinley Burkart will undoubtedly add a fresh vibe to Stephen Avenue. There hasn’t been too much info revealed on this joint yet… which makes us want to dine here even more. Sit tight while waiting for this one – it was slated to open late August.

4. Donna Mac

Offering the concept of ‘new neighbourhood cuisine’, the Downtown West End is excited to welcome their newest resident, Donna Mac. This spot said it was opening late summer 2017, but we are still patiently waiting for its doors to open.
