One of Calgary's most popular pie shops is opening a new location
Pie Junkie, one of Calgary’s most popular spots for baked goods, is opening a brand-new location, just in time for the Thanksgiving season.
Located at 8234 Broadcast Ave. SW, Pie Junkie will be opening its doors in Calgary’s West District.
The new 1,167 square foot store will offer its selection of sweet and savoury treats, seasonal favourites, and a new location for pre-order pick-up, open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week.
The latest opening also coincides with Pie Junkie’s 10th anniversary, having been founded by Nancy Goemans in 2015. Goemans’ long-time friend Jo-Anne Caza joined as co-owner a year later.

Since then, the brand has become a staple in the Calgary community, renowned for its all-butter pastry and goods, all made from scratch.
“Ten years ago, we set out to make pies the way they’re supposed to be made – by hand, with care, and with ingredients we’re proud of,” says Nancy Goemans, co-owner of Pie Junkie.
“What started as a neighbourhood pie shop has grown into a citywide community of pie lovers who have been with us every step of the way.”
Once open, the new outpost will be Pie Junkie’s fifth, with locations in Spruce Cliff, Crowfoot, Mahogany and Legacy.
