Family-owned Vietnamese restaurant is opening a new Calgary location

Attention, pho fans! A seriously popular pho spot is bringing a brand-new location right to the heart of the city, and we can’t wait.
Pho Pham, a family-owned spot known for its pho and more, revealed it will be opening its third Calgary outpost in Chinatown.
While each of Pho Pham’s locations pays homage to the country in its own unique way, the restaurant has shared details on what to expect in Chinatown.
The space will feature an interior garden and skylight, mimicking the lush greenery seen in Vietnam, as well as woven straw lampshades that represent the NgĂ´n la, traditional conical hats worn by many in the countryside.

The restaurant is owned by Coi and Lan, who moved to Canada as refugees in 1992. After working in Vietnamese restaurants for years, the pair finally opened Pho Hoan Pasteur (Pho Pham’s sister restaurant) in 2005.
Pho Pham, which has locations in Signal Hill and University District, serves up classic Vietnamese fare such as salad rolls, vermicelli noodles, and, of course, heapings of pho. The spot specializes in beef pho with options such as steak, brisket, meatballs, tendon, and more.
No scheduled opening dates have been revealed just yet, but we’re excited to see the family-owned business expand.
