The ‘Make America Great Again‘ slogan has become a symbol of division and controversy for some.
Which is why Toronto-based Peace Collective has created the ‘Welcome to Canada’ toque as a symbol of love and acceptance, welcoming everyone to our home in the north.
“As Canadians, we take pride in our country, our city, our team and our selves. We believe we can make our country great by welcoming everyone to our home,” said Peace Collective, in a statement.

The toques are available now on Peace Collective and they are selling for $28.99 a pop.
And with each purchase, profits will be donated to WoodGreen Community Services, a charity that helps immigrants and refugees with the settlement process in Canada.
But Peace Collective is also giving Canadians the opportunity to be a part of something more substantial.
The apparel company is auctioning off a one-of-a-kind ‘Welcome to Canada’ toque that features actual ‘Make America Great Again’ (MAGA) thread.
Peace Collective unravelled an official ‘MAGA’ hat stitch-by-stitch and used the very same thread to hand-sew the lettering of a ‘Welcome to Canada’ toque.
All of the proceeds from the winning bid will be donated to WoodGreen Community Services. The starting bid kicks off at $50.
By bidding on the toque, you’re helping to #UnravelHate by making Canada even more welcoming.
