Park by Sidewalk Citizen temporarily closed due to a fire
A popular Calgary restaurant has been forced to close temporarily due to a fire.
Park by Sidewalk Citizen, the stunning solarium-style restaurant in the heart of Central Memorial Park, announced it has been forced to close its doors after a fire was started outside the premises over the weekend.
“Sunday night was chilly, and it seems like someone who needed to warm up accidentally started a small fire outside our restaurant,” the restaurant said in an Instagram post.

However, the flames were contained due to quick action from Calgary firefighters, and the premises suffered “minimal” damage. Park also confirmed that no one was hurt in the incident.
“We hopefully will be running in a couple of days, good and new,” it added.
The restaurant will be closed on November 13 and 14 and will keep customers updated on its reopening.
