Popular Calgary restaurant known for its noodles set to open a new location

After a tumultuous few months, it looks as though the tide may just be turning for Nan’s Noodle House.
The popular plant-based Asian restaurant has teased that a third location is on the way, just weeks after sharing the difficulties it was facing at its Avenida outpost.
In an Instagram post, two options were laid out: “close down Avenida location” and “open a third location,” ultimately choosing the latter. While details on the whereabouts of the new spot are under wraps for now, it’s an exciting step for the restaurant.

Last year, Nan’s Noodle House opened its second outpost at Fresh and Local Market in March 2024, its first foray into the city’s south. However, in an Instagram post in August, the team shared that the location was “struggling.”
“In full transparency… our second location is struggling, and the thought of closing its doors has crossed our minds — but it’s the last thing we want to do,” the post reads.
The restaurant added that before any decisions are made about its future at the market, it wanted to hear from the community about any issues they had noted with the location.
