A man was found seriously injured in an alleyway just after midnight this morning.
Calgary Police Service responding to a call at 12:10 on reports of a gunshot wound found a 34-year-old man in an alleyway behind the 100 block of 15th Street NW.

He was quickly rushed to a hospital, but a release from CPS states that he eventually died as a result of the wound.
An autopsy of the body is scheduled for today, and his identity cannot be confirmed by police until it is complete.
Police had cordoned off the area west of 14th Street NW between Kensington Road and 2nd Avenue NW as of this morning, and anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the Calgary Police Service at 403-266-1234.
