Tourism Calgary has launched a new initiative with a familiar hashtag to spread some cheer, joy, and local love in a time of crisis.

#LoveYYC From Home has launched on Twitter and on the Tourism Calgary website.

Round-ups of feel-good stories, community testimonials, and a very long list of local online resources.

The list of online resources is huge and features many local favourites.

Virtual tours of the Esker Foundation gallery, the Calgary Zoo, and Glenbow Museum are recommended, and there is a list of local entertainment that has gone virtual.

They’ve also listed, and categorized by cuisine, restaurants with delivery options, as well as breweries and distilleries separated by region.

There are links to online library resources, virtual exercise classes to stay active while isolated, and local shops’ online stores.

Every week, Tourism Calgary will round up new stories for #LoveYYC, with a focus on the good that Calgarians are doing to help each other in a time of crisis, as they have in the past through floods, recessions, and more.
