Calgary is officially home to an indoor skydiving centre.
iFLY Calgary opened its doors late last month, inviting Calgarians and visitors alike the chance to feel the thrill of freefall — without worrying about parachutes and planes and all that jazz.

The centre is home to a 12 ft recirculating SkyVenture wind tunnel that will provide a sense of falling to anyone who steps inside (when it’s turned on, of course).
A release from the company states that thrill-seekers will be able to find them at the Deerfoot City shopping centre, located at 811 64th Avenue NE.
First-time fliers (floaters? fallers?) can try out the experience starting at $60, which will get you two flights that are equivalent to three skydiving freefalls from 12,000 feet, according to iFLY’s website.
Call ahead to 403-365-4288 to reserve your time in the tunnel, or pop by during their hours of operation:
- Monday to Thursday: Noon to 8 pm
- Friday: Noon to 10 pm
- Saturday: 10 am to 10 pm
- Sunday: 10 am to 7 pm
