House of Vans pop-up brings music, art and a skatepark to Big Four Building
A huge event is coming to Calgary this weekend, and the best part is that it’s entirely free.
The House of Vans pop-up will be at Calgary’s Big Four Building from Friday, April 13 to Sunday, April 15, bringing with it live music, art shows, a variety of vendors, and a full skatepark.

All three days of the event are free for anyone to attend, though you may end up spending some cash at the over 30 local vendors that will be set up throughout the venue.
Live music will include DIIV, Sheer Mag, and an opening night featuring five local Calgary bands.
“By combining youth culture with arts, music and community, House of Vans is an outstanding event to host in Calgary,” said Jeff Daniels, executive director of sport, culture and major events for Tourism Calgary, in the release.
“We’re thrilled to have been selected as the host city for this cultural event as it will showcase many of Calgary’s best assets while contributing to our long-standing local creative communities”
This year’s event will also feature the brand new Get on Board initiative, which invites women of all ages to try out the on-site skateboarding clinics and get into the sport.
