This popular Calgary sports bar just revealed it's reopening this fall

Popular Calgary sports bar and former 17th Avenue staple Home & Away closed in June, but the eatery has already announced it will be reopening in YYC soon.

The local sports-themed watering hole operated at 1331 17th Avenue SW for four years before shuttering due to the economic climate.

The Home & Away team cited property taxes (which had allegedly have tripled since 2016) as the main reason for the closure.

But, obviously, that didn’t last too long.

Now, the spot is officially popping up again, this time at a new address 1207 1st Street SW in the Victoria Park area.

Home & Away will be just steps away from awesome foodie neighbours like Ten Foot Henry, Native Tongues, and The Allium.
