A rockslide has closed Highway 1 between Revelstoke and Golden
A rockslide has cut off Highway 1 in the Rocky Mountains, with the closure starting late Tuesday night.
According to DriveBC, Highway 1 is closed in both directions between Revelstoke and Golden with no alternate routes available.

The first warning was posted through a tweet at 10:07 pm MTD Tuesday, stating: “#BCHwy1 rocks on road 65KM west of #GoldenBC Road is currently closed. Assessment in progress.”

A geotech is currently on site assessing the situation, according to the most recent update. The anticipated time of opening is posted at 3 pm MTD Wednesday.
