Pain at the pump as gas prices in Alberta forecast to rise soon

Gas prices in Alberta saw a dip yesterday but are forecast to increase soon, with a gas price analysis service estimating a rise tomorrow.
Gas Wizard predicts prices will increase by approximately five cents per litre (to $1.549) in Edmonton and five cents per litre (to $1.559) in Calgary on Wednesday, April 22.
The price of premium fuel is also set to rise by five cents per litre in YEG and five cents per litre in YYC, while diesel prices are forecast to see a jump too.
Diesel prices will increase by approximately four cents per litre (to $1.879) in Edmonton and four cents per litre (to $1.789) in Calgary.

Despite seeing another jump at the pump this week, Alberta still has some of the lowest gas prices in Canada. Looking at the daily pump price survey done by Kalibrate, the highest prices yesterday were found in Vancouver at $2.00 and Victoria at $1.998. That’s some serious pain at the pump.
According to the daily pump price survey, the Canadian average at the pump for regular gasoline is $1.706, while diesel is $2.010.
