The price of premium fuel is also set to rise by five cents per litre in YEG and five cents per litre in YYC, while diesel prices are forecast to see a jump too.

Despite seeing another jump at the pump this week, Alberta still has some of the lowest gas prices in Canada. Looking at the daily pump price survey done by Kalibrate, the highest prices yesterday were found in Vancouver at $2.00 and Victoria at $1.998. That’s some serious pain at the pump.

According to the daily pump price survey, the Canadian average at the pump for regular gasoline is $1.706, while diesel is $2.010.

If you were curious about the highest gas prices seen in Edmonton and in Calgary, we chatted with an expert who dished on the 10 highest prices seen at the pump in YEG and the 10 highest prices seen at the pump in YYC over the last 10 years, at the time of publication.
