There’s been some major grocery store developments around Calgary over the last few weeks, and now, there’s word of another addition.
It was revealed earlier this year that Calgary Co-op would be closing its Sage Hill location. While the space has remained vacant for a few months, it looks as though a new grocery store is set to replace it soon.
Salthill Capital, which recently purchased Sage Hill Quarter shopping centre, has revealed that a new FreshCo location will be taking over the vacant store.
No opening date has been revealed yet for the 31,834-square-foot location, but it’s good news for those living in the Northwest community.
Two Safeway stores in Calgary, at Northgate and Thorncliffe, were also converted into FreshCo locations this year.
