FREE sports and fitness classes being offered in Calgary all this week

When was the last time you tried out something new?

With the everyday responsibilities of adulthood piling up, it’s hard to dedicate any time towards getting out and being active, let alone giving an entirely new sport a try.

Luckily enough for Calgarians 18 and over, Sport Calgary is stepping in to remedy that lack of play.

All Sport One City is a week-long initiative that’s taking place all over Calgary, where fitness and sports classes will be made free for anyone willing to give them a go.

From the basics of broomball to the gravity-defying workings of parkour, Calgarians will finally be able to try their hands at all the things they’d always been curious about.

Cornhole, snowboarding, kickboxing, and Quidditch are just a few of the activities being offered from January 18 to January 26, and – because we can’t mention it enough – they’re all completely free.

Keep in mind, that also means there will be other people at these classes who are just as hilariously inexperienced as you are, so there’s no need to worry about making a fool of yourself.

The list of sports and fitness classes offered is exhaustive, to put it mildly, with 257 different activities on offer.

A full list of possible activities for each day can be found here.

According to the All Sport One City website, many of the sessions are also adaptable for Calgarians with physical disabilities.

The initiative started on Saturday, January 18 — having been extended a few days from last year’s week-long event — which means you can register for something cool (and free) to do today.

So, what are you waiting for?
