The words “Weather” and “Consistent” have never really gone together out here in Calgary, but we’ve got our fingers crossed that next week will be the exception.
According to the Weather Network’s 14-day forecast, Calgary is in store for some serious sunshine during the days leading up to, and during, the first official week of spring.

The sunny days start this Friday, March 15 with a high of 5°C and mainly sunny skies, while Saturday and Sunday follow suit with increasingly warm highs of 7°C and 11°C, respectively.
By next week, Calgarians will be able to expect 13°C and 14°C on Monday and Tuesday, followed by temperatures ranging from 13°C to 10°C for each day that follows until Sunday.
Not a bad way to start off the new season, if we don’t say so ourselves.
The expected forecast is far above the historical average of a 3°C high and -9°C low for this time of year, though we wouldn’t put away those winter coats just yet.
The lows throughout the next two weeks will still dip below freezing, dropping down to as low as -8°C on Friday night.
Even if the weather decides to completely veer off course over the next few days (as it’s know to do, especially given the unpredictability of Chinooks), it’s still nice to see that sunnier, warmer days are finally on the horizon this spring.
No, where’d we put that sunscreen?
