Evil Corporation Brewing just opened in Calgary
Evil Corporation Brewing, a new brewery in Calgary “with a vision to produce some of Alberta’s finest small barrel batches,” just opened.
The interesting name comes from the team’s mission of world domination through quality craft beer, a nod toĀ the foundersā successful corporate background, and also a joke on the evil corporations of 1980s science fiction.
Located at 1220 20th Avenue SE, this new spot is surrounded by some of the best breweries in YYC. The grand opening happened on July 15 and 16.

Some of the “evil” beers you can try here? West Coast IPAs, Lemon Brut IPAs, German Pilsners, fruity gose beers and more. There are unique ones as well, like the jalapeno-flavoured pilsner.
They all seemed to satirize the corporate world with names like “Toe the Lime”, NEIpitism, and Monopoly, to name a few. The black coffee ale and the porter made with notes of chocolate and espresso perfectly match up to the dark name.
Stop in and check out this new spot for yourself, especially if you need a break or a beer from the office job. There is even a dog-friendly patio.
