Canadian cookie brand with over 100 flavours to open its first Calgary location

Calgary is getting a sweet new addition to its food scene very soon.
After teasing its grand expansion plans, we finally have confirmation that Craig’s Cookies is gearing up to open its first Calgary location.
Earlier this year, the team behind Craig’s Cookies, the popular Toronto-based cookie chain, told Dished that the company was looking to expand into Western Canada. Now, it seems as though the dream is becoming a reality, as Craig’s Cookies has just revealed that it’ll be taking up residence in Lower Mount Royal on 17th Avenue.

If you’ve spent time in Ontario, you’ve probably come across Craig’s Cookies. The cookie purveyor is known for its super-sized, chunky sweet treats that come in over 100 flavours and are packed with everything from chocolate chips to Kinder Bueno and Snickers.
Craig’s Cookies was launched by Craig Pike in 2012. As a side hustle between acting gigs, Pike told Dished that he began selling chocolate chip cookies online and delivering them himself by bicycle.
By 2018, Pike was ready to take a risk on a brick-and-mortar store, opening in Toronto’s Parkdale neighbourhood to a huge amount of hype. Just seven years later, Craig’s Cookies now boasts 19 locations.
While Craig’s Cookies has yet to reveal an official opening date for its YYC store, we’ll be ready and waiting in line.
