10 artists we can't wait to see at Country Thunder next month

The biggest stars in country music are returning to Calgary for Country Thunder next month, and we are so excited for all of the great live music!
The Confluence Historic Site and Parkland will play host to one of North America’s largest country music festivals from Aug. 15 to 17, 2025, with some iconic artists and bands onstage over the three days.
Country Thunder is coming up fast, and fans are ready to party. To help you plan your weekend schedule, here are the 10 artists we can’t wait to see at this year’s festival.

Cody Johnson
Texas-born country singer Cody Johnson headlines Friday night, and fans are excited to see the three-time Country Music Association Award winner live. Johnson has worked with icons like Brooks & Dunn and has also won several CMT Music Awards during his career.
Bailey Zimmerman

Bailey Zimmerman
Bailey Zimmerman is a Country Music Association Awards nominee with hits like “Rock and a Hard Place” and “Fall in Love,” the latter reaching #1 on the Country Airplay chart and becoming the fastest debut single to reach the top spot at the time.
Jake Owen
Jake Owen has seven studio albums and awards at the Academy of Country Music and the American Country Awards under his belt. He also has four number one hits that are sure to wow any audience, including “Barefoot Blue Jean Night,” “Alone with You,” “The One That Got Away,” and “Anywhere with You.”
Old Dominion
Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Whit Sellers, Geoff Sprung, and Brad Tursi make up the acclaimed country group Old Dominion. The group has won five Academy of Country Music Awards and also appeared on TV series like Nashville and Songland.
Ashley McBryde

Ashley McBryde
With rave reviews for all four of her studio albums, Ashley McBryde has been on a roll over the past few years. She won her first Grammy Award in 2023 and also scored several Academy of Country Music Awards throughout her career.
James Barker Band
Woodville, Ont.’s very own James Barker Band have six number one country singles in Canada on their resume, including “Chills,” “Over All Over Again,” and “New Old Trucks,” featuring Dierks Bentley. The two-time Juno winners have also opened for fan fave Dallas Smith on his Canadian tour.
Clint Black
Clint Black is a Grammy-winning artist with over 20 #1 hits on the US Billboard country charts. The “A Better Man” hitmaker has also appeared in films like Maverick and TV shows like King of the Hill.
Lindsay Ell

Lindsay Ell
Calgary’s own Lindsay Ell was discovered by Randy Bachman when she was 15. Since then, she has opened for Shania Twain, topped the Billboard Country Album Sales chart, and currently hosts Canada’s Got Talent.
Kalsey Kulyk
Saskatchewan’s own Kalsey Kulyk is a Canadian Country Music Association-nominated artist who has won over fans across the continent with hits like  “Who I Was,” “Love Me Like an Outlaw,” and “You Fight Dirty.”
Riley Green
Riley Green is a multiple-platinum-selling artist behind hit songs like “There Was This Girl” and “I Wish Grandpas Never Died.” The four-time Academy of Country Music Awards winner is also a former quarterback for Jacksonville State University.
