Alberta health officials report 164 new coronavirus cases

Alberta health officials said on Tuesday that 164 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the province, bringing the total number of recorded cases to 14,066.

This includes 7,596 in the Calgary zone, 3,159 in the Edmonton zone, 590 in the Central zone, 1,748 in the South zone, 943 in the North zone, and 30 cases classified as “unknown.”

A total of 164 people have now died from the virus, and there is a total of 1,398 active cases.

A total of 12,427 people have now recovered from the virus.

As always, Albertans are encouraged to practice physical distancing, wear a mask when in public, maintain proper hand hygiene, and stay home if they are feeling at all sick.
