Check out this 12-hour-long horror movie marathon on Halloween

Even if you find yourself falling asleep… it’ll be nothing but nightmares.

The Calgary Underground Film Festival is hosting a 12-hour-long horror movie marathon this Halloween of seven different titles. The event will come to a close at 7 am on Sunday, November 1.

Things will start off at 7 pm the night before on Saturday, October 31, and anyone who makes it through the 12 straight hours will be rewarded with a free breakfast.

There will be giveaways and prizes throughout the night, so the movies aren’t completely non-stop, and there will be a costume contest at midnight.

Anyone looking to join the audience on the spookiest day of the year will tuck in to watch A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987), Blood and Black Lace (1964), Bride of Chucky (1998), Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II (1987), Society (1989), Blood Rage (1987), and Basket Case (1982).

Tickets are $20, and CUFF members, students, and seniors get a $2 discount.

Due to coronavirus measures, the capacity will be reduced by 20% to just 75 seats per cinema, but CUFF will be using both the upstairs and downstairs cinemas for the event. Masks are required while inside the building.

The bar is open until 2 am, and the concession will be open all night (and morning) long, so just be sure to bring some cash!
