Alvin's Jazz Club reopening to the public this Thursday

Oct 7 2020, 8:47 pm

It’s been a long seven months, but Alvin’s Jazz Club is finally reopening.

Having closed at the start of the pandemic like many Calgary businesses, the club took its time reopening given its location right beside a senior’s residence, a release from Alvin’s Jazz Club states.

It has now decided to finally reopen its doors (with precautionary measures in place (of course) and invite the city back in for dinner, drinks, and some of the city’s best live jazz.

It’s first official day of reopening will be on Thursday, October 8, which will see the music of Johnny Summers 4 performing a Frank Sinatra tribute set. Attendees will be able to enjoy the 1930s and 40s dining experience alongside some delectable libations, kicking off daily live music that will be seen throughout the month.

Those hoping to make reservations (which we’re sure will fill up fast) can do so at Alvin’s Jazz Club’s website.

A full lineup of scheduled performers can be found here.
