A stunning new hotel and spa is in the works for Canmore
It’s welcome news for those who like to enjoy the Rockies, with a new hotel and spa in the works in Canmore.
The Alexander Hotel Spa is a three-and-a-half storey, 45,000-square-foot hotel that will offer 45 rooms in the Spring Creek Mountain Village.
The hotel is set to be constructed with a wood frame superstructure atop a parkade and ground floor concrete structure. The hotel will include executive suites and a wellness and spa facility on the main level, with guestrooms occupying the upper levels.

The architecture team behind the project, Metafor Architecture, stated on its website that an underground parkade, accessible from Spring Creek Drive, will house service spaces, covered vehicle and bicycle parking, and a tunnel connecting to the adjacent Malcolm Hotel.
The access from the Malcolm Hotel will allow guests to use the spa and other hospitality offerings from both hotels.

Guestrooms and the pool and hot tub area facing Spring Creek will have large windows and walkout patios/balconies to enhance views of the mountains and creek. We love a hotel with balconies!
The Alberta Major Projects website added that the project has an estimated cost of over $12,000,000, with no opening date yet.
