Canadians tell America it's already great in positive viral video

Peak Canada, as the Washington Post puts it.

A collection of diverse, polite, and smiling Canadians sending a minute and a half of love straight south in a cannonade of compliments that range from America’s charitable initiatives to its disability rights movement.

You see, a Toronto-based creative agency, The Garden, felt that America was going through a rough time this election season and that, like any good friend, they’d try to lift their spirits.

Their method was simple: Ask Canadians to share positive thoughts about our American friends, and reassure them that (despite Donald Trump’s slogan) America is great, has always been great, and will continue to be so after this hard time. Or, as The Garden put it in a blog post entitled A Friend In Need:

As their closest friends and neighbours, we thought it was important for us to do something to cut through the negativity and help remind them that no matter how bad things might seem, there are a lot of reasons to believe that America is still pretty great.

Since the positive video went live a week ago, it’s been viewed over 500,000 times and been picked up all over the US, including the New York Times, Washington Post, and NPR. With the Post titling their article, Leave it to a Canadian ad campaign to deliver the most inspiring message of this U.S. election.

The feel good vibes are something desperately needed during an election that, thanks to scandals, insults, and lies, has hit terrifyingly new lows for the two potential leaders of the most powerful nation on earth.

If you have something positive you want to tell the US, you can still do so by contributing your own video here.
