The Calgary Zoo is glowing now that ZooLights has returned for the 2019 holiday season.
Marking 23 years as one of Calgary’s brightest light displays, the Calgary Zoo’s annual family winter event combines holiday favourites with the message of animal conservation.
This year’s activities include Wizarding Wednesdays, Potions Class, Axe-Throwing, the Sugar Shack, and much more.
The first day of the event takes place this Friday, November 22.

The jolly man himself will even be on the scene, along with a new (and incredibly Instagrammable) mistletoe setup.
The entire display boasts over two million lights, and it takes roughly 90 minutes to enjoy the full experience.
With a skating rink, a 16-foot Christmas tree, and a toasty fire pit, The Calgary Zoo is a solid spot to kick off the holiday season.
