There is literally something fun and exciting happening at the zoo every day, with a full schedule of programming continuing through the winter months.

We’re talking about getting up close and personal with big cats at the¬†Tiger Training, discovering how animals source their treats during¬†Animal Snackers,¬†listening in on the always educational¬†Penguin Keeper Chat, learning about Gorilla Family Dynamics, and exploring how the zoo uses science to create their animal habitats during¬†Nature Hackers, among other events.

Spend the day out at Calgary Zoo and refuel along the way at Kitamba Caf√©, Kitamba Java, or Penguin Caf√©, where you’ll find fresh hot snacks and drinks to warm you up. If the little ones want to take their own mini stuffed animals home, they’ll find at least one that captures their heart at the gift shop.

Best of all, your zoo experience directly supports conservation efforts. At its Centre for Conservation Research, the zoo works with partners to sustain at-risk wildlife here at home and all over the globe. Together, they develop community conservation and reintroduction strategies that benefit threatened wildlife.
