The Calgary Zoo is glowing as Zoolights has returned for the 2017 holiday season.

Marking 20 years as Calgary’s brightest light display, the Calgary Zoo’s annual family winter event combines holiday favourites the message of animal conservation.

This year’s event will feature several displays and interactive activities to educate Calgarians on migrations, hibernation, and adaption.

The entire display boasts 1.5 million lights, and it takes roughly 90 minutes to enjoy the full experience.

With a skating rink, a 16-foot Christmas tree, and a visit from Santa, The Calgary Zoo is a solid spot to kick off the holidays season.

When: Friday, November 24 to Saturday, January 6, 2018 (closed on Christmas Day)
