Sharing Dance Day

What: Sharing Dance is an initiative used to motivate Canadians of all ages to participate in free, healthy, fun and creative dance activities. Learn the awesome annual routine. It is 100% free to participate. No experience is required. This is a great chance to get some exercise and have fun. Gather your family, friends, neighbours, and coworkers and get dancing.

What’s up with Bow Habitat Station

What: Explore Alberta’s wildlife and natural spaces on the first Friday of the month. Visit investigation stations in the Discovery Centre to discover the wildlife that make their home right here in Calgary! Join in a large group activity at 10:30 am, 11:30 am, 1:30 pm or 2:30 pm to discover how wildlife has adapted to city life with special guests from Alberta Parks. Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society will be hosting an investigation station all about some furry and feathered friends you might find in our city. Hands-on activities are designed for learners ages two and up.

What:The Inglewood Night Market occurs every second Friday in the summer months in Calgary. Each event hosts over 50 local vendors selling diverse goods from handmade craftsmen items to vintage clothing, antiques & collectibles, artisan eats and more. You’ll also find food trucks, singer songwriters, bands, dancers, outdoor seating, a family-friendly licenced area and other fun things to check out.

Calgary Reggaefest 2019

What: Calling all “Rastagarian’s,” Calgarian’s who share the same love for Caribbean culture and Reggae music. Ghost Opera

Woody ID Walk — Botanical Gardens of Silver Springs

What: Enjoy a walk through The Botanical Gardens of Silver Springs, stopping along the way to learn how to identify 15-20 trees and shrubs found in this expansive garden. Garden volunteer Teresa Lynch will guide participants through the specimens, offering three to four key identification features for each plant selected. This tour is for anyone interested in knowing more about the trees and shrubs around them and the diversity of woody species that can be grown in the Calgary area.
