What: The much-loved purveyor is officially opening a pop-up located at 1919 4th Street SW in Mission, the former home of Belle Southern Kitchen + Bar. Buttermilk’s pop-up will run every Friday to Sunday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The space can seat 80 people at a time, and the menu offers patrons some serious comfort food at lowered prices. Eats available here will include southern grub like chicken fried steak and waffles, mac and cheese, buckets of drumsticks, and pitchers of beer to name a few.

Lloyd’s Legacy Skate 2019

What: Hosted by the Roller Recreation Association (RRA), the event invites skaters of all levels out to Don Hartman NE Sportsplex for a night of cruising, dancing, and showing off your stuff.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blades or skates out to the double gymnasium-turned-roller-rink, though noted that there are limited $5 rentals available for those who need them — however it is suggested that you get there earlier in the night to snag a pair, as they’re expected to go fast.

Peppa Pig at the Calgary Zoo

What: To celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Pig, the Calgary Zoo will be hosting characters from Treehouse’s, Peppa Pig. Peppa and her younger brother George will be spending Family Day Weekend, February 16th and 17th, with their Calgarian fans as part of their Chinese New Year celebrations.
