It’s been just over a month since one of Calgary’s favourite sweet spots announced it would be closing its doors.

Buttermilk Fine Waffles, a foodie staple on 17th Avenue, closed on January 1, but the business, known for its delicious sweet and savoury waffles, told patrons they’d be back soon enough, just in a different form.

The much-loved purveyor is officially opening a pop-up located at 1919 4th Street SW in Mission, the former home of Belle Southern Kitchen + Bar.

Buttermilk’s pop-up will run every Friday to Sunday from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The space can seat 80 people at a time, and the menu offers patrons some serious comfort food at lowered prices.

Eats available here will include southern grub like chicken fried steak and waffles, mac and cheese, buckets of drumsticks, and pitchers of beer to name a few.

It all kicks off on February 15, so be sure to stop by and try the revamped eats from Buttermilk 2.0.
