Calgary to see a high of 16°C and sunshine this week

It may seem like an impossibility right now given the state of our snow-covered city, but warmer weather is actually going to be making a brief encore later this week.

Following the final snowfall on Monday, the weather is expected to rebound back to sunshine and warmer days starting on Tuesday with a high of 6°C.

The temperatures throughout YYC will only continue to increase in the days that follow, with a high of 10° on Wednesday, 9°C on Thursday, and 11°C on Friday.

All days of the week are expected to feature nothing but sunshine — with the exception of a mix of sun and clouds on Thursday — though it’s the weekend that will really shine.

Saturday will see a high of 13°C, while Sunday will truly live up to its name with sunny skies and a (relatively) scorching high of 16°C — quite the contrast to the Sunday before, which marked the snowiest September day that Calgary had ever recorded.

Obviously, this being Calgary, the weather forecast is anything but set in stone… though we wouldn’t blame you for getting your hopes up a little bit and planning something exciting this upcoming weekend!
