Calgary is in for a wild weekend when it comes to weather, as some sun, a few clouds, and maybe even a mix of both are waiting out on that horizon.

Things will start off at a record-keeping 5°C on Friday, with a few clouds clearing away as it gets into night.

Temperatures will drop to a seriously bearable -3°C Friday night, before skyrocketing up to 7°C on Saturday.

It’ll be all sun on Saturday, but don’t get too comfortable; the weather takes a drastic turn for the worse on Sunday as a mix of sun and clouds are expected.

The end of the weekend will get a little warmer, though, with a high of 11°C and a low of 1°C.

Which is actually quite impressive, as the average high for November 25 in Calgary is 0.6°C, and the average low is -10.9°C.

If it makes you feel any warmer, the lowest temperature recorded for that date is a painful -31.7°C back in 1892. They didn’t even have hand warmers back then.

Well, enjoy leaving the umbrellas at home, at least!
