Calgary forecast is toasty with a 29-degree temperature change soon

Calgary got hit with some pretty cold weather over the past few days, but things are looking up with a 29-degree warm-up on the way.

According to the Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) forecast, the freezing temperatures are set to subside next week, with daytime temperatures hitting 6°C.

Thursday’s daytime high of -15°C and overnight low of -23°C are looking like some of the coldest temperatures we will see this week. Friday’s daytime high is set to reach -8°C, followed by an overnight low of -18°C.

Rolling into the weekend, temperatures drop a little bit, with Saturday seeing a daytime high of -11°C and a chilly overnight low of -20°C and Sunday seeing a daytime high of -12°C and an overnight low of -17°C.

Monday kicks off the warm-up with daytime temperatures reaching -7°C and overnight lows only hitting -8°C. Tuesday brings the weather above freezing with a daytime high of 1°C, before dropping to -2°C at night.

Wednesday is bringing some heat to Calgary with the daytime high reaching 6°C, a whopping 29-degree temperature warm-up from Thursday’s overnight low of -23°C.

According to ECCC, the average high temperature for Calgary around this time is 1°C, and the average low is -11°C.
