The Brain Freeze Trivia night is coming back to Calgary next month to test your wits against over 300 other competitors.
Part of the Calgary Corporate Challenge, the trivia night is known to be the biggest (and therefore most competitive) in the city, and with over 74 teams of four vying for first place, it isn’t hard to understand why.
- WestJet to offer daily non-stop service to Portland, Oregon this summer
- Two actors cover the complete Harry Potter series in 70 minutes
- Cannabis-infused kombucha will be produced in Canada
This year’s event will be held on February 5, which means you have less than a week to rally your three smartest friends and register online.
Registration will run your team $100 (so just $25 per head) or $150 if you want to give a little extra to Branch Out, the charity that the event is supporting.
Participants are asked to arrive at Schanks South between 5:30 and 6:15 pm to check in, get their brains warmed up, and enjoy some food and drink. Trivia will begin at 6:30 pm, and teammates will work together to answer five rounds at 10 questions apiece.
Scores will be tallied and announced between rounds, with the three most knowledgeable teams being crowned champions by the end of the night.
And yes, there are prizes (and glory) to be won.
Here are the categories that participants will face during the five rounds:
- GREAT WHITE NORTH
- COLD HARD FACTS
- NO BIZ LIKE SNOW BIZ
- REINDEER GAMES
- WINTER WONDERLAND
