GMC Rangeland Derby

What: Tried and true cowboys compete in ground shaking chuckwagon races. 36 drivers and 216 horses compete over nine days racing to win over $1.15 million in prize money. Guests can get up close and personal where they can feel the thundering roar of hooves and the pounding of dust on their faces by purchasing standing seats. Stay for the world famous Grandstand Show that takes places after.

When: Every night 7:45pm visitors can catch 8 heats of racers.

Bell Adrenaline Ranch

What: Join these motocross daredevils as they defy gravity with death defying stunts. The show this year is titled Light it Up! and features an unparalleled mix of professional world record-setters and gold medalists motocross athletes. The show features a jaw dropping mix of digital 3D projection technology at these athletes perform jaw-dropping jumps in front of a giant projection screen.

When:July 12 to 16 at 12:30, 2:15, 4, 5:45 and 7:30pm.

Stampede Midway Rides

What: Thrill seekers will delight in exploring the 21 unique rides at the Stampede Midway. Get your adrenaline pumping with these twirling, racing, and heart dropping rides that include the Mega Drop Tower, Polar Express, Spin Out, Outlaw and the Wave Swinger. No matter what kind of rush your looking for the Stampede Midway has the perfect fic.

When: All Stampede from 11am to Midnight.
Where: On the West side of the park spanning from the Victoria Station Entrance to the Grandstand Arena.
Cost: Coupons: 1 coupon for $1, 11 coupons for $10, 22 Coupons for $20 and 55 coupons for $50. Passes: Ride All Day wristbands are $54 on weekdays and $58 on weekends.

Axe Throwing

What: Bring out your inner lumberjack and feel the thump of your axe hitting the target at the Axe Throwing Calgary Booth. The event features tournaments, coaching from Axe experts and the chance to brag to all your friends about your axe throwing ability. Guests must be 15 years or older to participate.

Where: The midway on Stampede Park near the Agrium building.
When: 11am to Midnight.
Cost: 5 throws for $10, 15 throws for $20 and $25 for 15 minutes and a private lesson. Private event booking for $50 to $60.

The Sky Scraper

What: Feel the force and fly through the sky in this, “fighter pilot like,” experience. Get your adrenaline flowing in this unique ride that whips you around for the ultimate heart stopping experience. Ride by yourself or ride with a friend on this 360 degree experience that travels more than 70mph at a force of 4G. The ride is several stories high stories high and spins adrenaline junkies both on its arm and in their seat.

When: 11am to Midnight.
Where: At the heart of the midway in Stampede park.
Cost: $40 per person.

The Slingshot

What: If the Stampede Midway isn’t enough to get your adrenaline rushing the Slingshot is perfect for the thrills you are seeking. Feel like you can fly in this reverse bungee ride as your propelled into the sky. Riders can ride on their own or in tandem with a friend and experience the thrill of being shot several stories into the air in a larger then life slingshot.

When: 11am to Midnight.
Where: At the centre of Stampede park in between the BMO Centre and Agrium building.
Cost: $40 per person.
