Now, this is a party.
The Calgary Stampede has decided to offer something a little more action-packed than the after-hours tent parties we’ve all come to know and love, by offering the chance to keep the rodeo going long into the night on two select days this July.
- 10 Calgary festivals that will shake up your spring and summer plans
- Driver ticketed for going over double the speed limit in 70 km/h zone
- 2019 Stampede Lotteries includes largest Rotary Dream Home ever
Bulls After Dark, a brand new event taking place this summer, will see a combination of live DJs, cold drinks, and wild stunts performed by bull riders and freestylers.
Bull freestyling, for any who haven’t seen it before, includes pulling off extreme tricks (think backflips) while being pursued by a loose bull.
“If you’re an adrenaline seeker, looking for the best party in the city or simply a new way to experience Stampede after the sun goes down, Bulls After Dark is for you,” said Kynan Vine, Manager of Western Events for the Calgary Stampede, in a release.
“Bull freestyling is all about executing the most extreme tricks, backflips and stunts while staying just out of the bull’s reach. Combined with amazing bull riding and live music, all in a party atmosphere, Bulls After Dark is a can’t miss experience.”
The new event will be held at 10 pm on Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13, and tickets are currently available starting at $40.
VIP tickets are also available (and will get you into reserved seating and private bar service) for $80 per person.
All tickets include admission to the Stampede on the day of the performance.
