Calgary, you’ve got a lot of restaurants to be proud of. Thanks to a growing dining scene, YYC is really holding its own among the big dogs in 2017’s just-released list of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants.

With eight local spots making the cut, Calgary’s food scene is well-represented, from Pigeonhole (#10) to the just-opened Foreign Concept (#100) and a few in between.

The rankings are determined by a combination of expert and informed opinions from not only Canada’s restaurant critics, but well-traveled and food-savvy diners, as well as industry insiders.

Not surprisingly, there’s been little movement at the top of the list, which is pretty thick with Toronto and Montreal establishments.
