Calgary police investigating possible kidnapping in southwest home

A possible kidnapping investigation is underway in southwest Calgary.

According to a release from the Calgary Police Service, officers were called to a home on 42nd Avenue SW after two young women fled the building at around 5:30 am on Friday.

The women claim that they were being held there against their will.

The Sex Crimes Unit has engaged, the release states, and police believed that there were two men in the home at the time of the release, at 8:45 am.

The Tactical Unit was on scene, but police will not be releasing further information as the it is an ongoing situation.
